All help topics

Want to be in the shot with your cards, like on a stream? Facing me films you with the camera above your screen and recognises each card you hold up to it.

  1. Tap Record in the scanner, then Options → Camera → Facing me.
  2. Prop the phone up facing you, with your screen in view.
  3. Tap the red button. Hold each card up close, front facing the phone, inside the frame, fingers on its sides.
  4. Keep the card’s bottom edge in view, or it may not get its price.
  5. Keep it still for a moment until it joins your row, then pull the next one.
  • Your screen and your video show each card the right way round, so its name reads clearly. Moving a card left moves it right on screen, like a video call.
  • Use good light: if the room is too dim, the screen tells you to move somewhere brighter. Tilt shiny cards away from lamps to stop glare.
  • Change the camera before you start recording. Tap Facing me at the bottom to go back to the back camera.

Tip. Every device can use Facing me, including ones that can’t film your face with the back camera.
