The app covers English cards for every game it has, and Japanese cards for Pokémon. A card in another language, or a Japanese card from another game, has no market price here yet: add it as a custom card with your own value.

Scan a Japanese Pokémon card the same way as any other. Once the app knows it, it often shows both names: the one printed on the card and its English name. The price is the Japanese card’s own.

When it asks which one

The same artwork is often printed in English and in Japanese. When the app can’t tell which one you have, it asks instead of guessing:

  1. The card shows no price yet, with choices under it, like “English” and “Japanese · Reverse Holo”.
  2. Each choice has its own picture, number and price. Compare them with the card in your hand.
  3. Tap the one you have. Its price fills in, and the row turns green.
  4. More choices than fit? Tap More printings. None of them right? Tap None of these and search for it.

The app never shows an English card’s price for a Japanese card, or the other way round, even when the artwork is the same. That’s why there’s no price until you pick.

Searching by hand? Add “jp” to the name (“pikachu jp”), or tap the Pokémon (Japanese) chip. Typing the number on the card, like “204/193”, shows each language’s card. Can’t find it at all? Add it as a custom card with your own value.

Why a price says “estimate”

A price like ~$12 with a small estimate tag means that card has no sales of its own for that condition yet, or too few to go by, so it’s worked out from its Near Mint price. Tap the tag to see why. It’s always that card’s own price, never another printing’s. No price means there’s none yet: type your own value on the card.
