Credit card fee (what you pay)

Set it in Settings → Pricing → Credit card fee to what your processor charges (about 2.6–3.5%). It’s taken out of profit on sales paid by credit card. Cash and payment apps have no fee.

Card convenience fee (what the customer pays)

  1. Open Settings → Pricing → Card convenience fee and turn it on.
  2. Type the % the customer pays, up to 3%.
  3. On a deal paid by credit card, it’s added on top as its own line. Use Debit card (no fee) for debit cards.

It shows in Settle up, on the Show customer screen and on the receipt, and the tax report lists it.

Card fee rules differ by state, and card networks don’t allow them on debit cards. Tell the customer before they pay, and check your state’s and your processor’s rules.
